Challenge
The goal was to create a zine on a specific object, exploring its function, aesthetics, and context. I chose a Starbucks coffee cup, specifically the misspelled names written on the side.
Aside from making you laugh, this project also invites you to think about whether these mistakes are typical of baristas or whether it is smart, free advertising by those who share their misspelled names on social media.
The challenge I face while working on this project was pushing to see how simple I can take the design while still associating it with the Starbucks brand but not making it obvious, as this project was more conceptual rather than design-focused.
